In a time when the heavens looked down on the failings of the church, a place that was once filled with sincere prayer, the years went by and showed how the church's goodness was fading away. The church's wealth grew, and as it did, the poor's cries for help were drowned out by the sounds of gold and riches.
The needy suffered in the dark corners of the church's beauty, their pleas for help getting lost in the big, cold halls that had lost the spirit of kindness. Hunger and thirst were constant pains, and sicknesses that could have been healed by the church's wealth were left to cause harm. The church with all its grandeur had lost touch with the holy grace it was supposed to have, its true purpose lost in the chase for more power and wealth.
