The clouds are still above, like a blanket of grey,
The sea is calm and peaceful, a sight on display.
The sun still warms the sand, gently like a breeze,
The shore glistens like diamonds, in the post-storm seas,
The horizon is a memory of a distant past,
Where everything was brighter and love's shadows last.
A light breeze lingers and dances on the shore,
As it carries momentous stories it has in store,
Of an everlasting beauty, where time stands still,
A moment of solace, where everything's still.
The waves are gentle and the seagulls fly high,
As they carry their secrets in a sky so blue they catch the eye,
The sky is now a painting, of blues and greys,
In a serene and tranquil afternoon, where love still stays.
