Description
Jenna had always loved the way the sun seemed to linger in the sky for longer in the south of France. As it began to dip lower and lower in the sky the light turned from a bright and brilliant yellow to a warm and gentle orange. Its last rays illuminated the rolling hills and made the red wildflowers look almost like they were glowing.
Jenna's heart felt a flutter of excitement it was her favorite time of day, the time she always sought out. She smiled to herself as she walked down the road, feeling the warm air brush against her skin and the cool grass tickle her bare feet.
As she rounded the bend the river came into view. She let out a delighted gasp the river was absolutely beautiful in the fading light of day. The water was a deep blue almost like a sapphire, and it sparkled and danced as it flowed downstream. The banks were lined with wildflowers, bright patches of fuchsia and crimson that glowed against the twilight sky.
Jenna felt like she had stepped into a painting her heart ached with the beauty of it all. Taking a deep breath of the cool evening air she knew that despite all the troubles from the day, at least here, she could be still and just be in awe of the wonders of nature.
She quickened her pace, eager to get closer to the river. As she drew nearer, she could hear the sound of the water flowing and the birds singing in the trees. She felt a deep peace fill her heart this was her sanctuary, and she wanted to stay here forever.
Jenna stopped at the edge of the river and looked out over the water. Here the river was wider and slower a perfect place to gather the wildflowers she so desperately wanted. She carefully stepped down into the shallow water and felt the cool wetness against her feet. She felt like she was walking in a dream it was almost surreal.
Kneeling down, Jenna began to search for the perfect blooms, she could feel her heart racing as she searched for the perfect flower, and when she found it her heart leapt with joy. She carefully picked the gorgeous red blooms and filled her hand with as many as she could.
When her hand was full Jenna stood and gazed out over the river. The sun had finally disappeared behind the horizon and the sky was awash with stunning shades of pink and orange. It was breathtakingly beautiful and the sight filled Jenna with a deep joy.
As Jenna watched the sun dip lower and lower in the sky, she felt her heart swell with gratitude. Despite all the troubles of the day, she had found beauty and a moment of peace. She knew that no matter what life threw at her, she could always find peace here at the river.

Lovely figure painting. Hope Jenna appreciates it too. Her day may not had been too bad. For those who had a rough day, we would not think to put on a dress with a bow. 😬
